Our School

Maple Street School is a small, neighborhood school located just off North Main Street in downtown Rochester. The school houses grades K through three. The smallness of the school fosters a family within the building that is woven into all activities by a caring, dedicated staff.

The philosophy of the school is to find the best in each child, and to prepare each student for life in a difficult and ever-changing world. In addition to academics, the staff concentrates on basic lifetime skills, including respect for self and others, being accountable for one's actions, being responsible, and working cooperatively

The Maple staff recognizes the powerful component that parents play in their children's success. The school has been recognized for the past seven years as a Blue Ribbon School by the New Hampshire Partners in Education because of its extensive volunteer program. Parent leaders work with the school's PTA. This group sponsors enriching activities throughout the school year and provides funding for field trips.
