Rochester Schools will open their doors for students on Wednesday, August 31st this year. Spaulding High School and Rochester Middle School will start classes at 7:30 a.m. Elementary schools will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Elementary
The schedule for Kindergarten students is 8:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
All Kindergarten students will start school on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
Students in Grades 1 - 5 will also start school on Wednesday, August 31, 2011; with Wednesday being a full day of school
(8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
Rochester Middle School
Students in Grade 6 only will report for their first day of school on Wednesday, August 31st; Grade 7-8 students only will report for their first day of school on Thursday, September 1st. All Rochester Middle School students will be in attendance on Friday, September 2nd.
Rochester Middle School Open House schedule is as follows:
Grade 6 - Open House -September 12, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Grade 7 - Open House - September 19, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Grade 8 - Open House, September 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Spaulding High School
High School freshmen (grade 9) will have their opening orientation day on Wednesday, August 31st, while sophomores through seniors (grade 10-12) will report for their first day on Thursday, September 1st (freshmen do NOT have school on Thursday, September 1st). All Spaulding High School students will be in attendance on Friday, September 2nd.
The High School has scheduled their 1st Semester school wide Open House for Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. the 2nd Semester Open House will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Early Release Days
Training days have been scheduled for staff members again this year. On these Early Release days, middle school and high school students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Elementary students will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m.; there will be Kindergarten classes on these days. The scheduled dates for early release are: September 14, October 12, November 10, January 11, April 11 and May 16. Parents should mark these days on their calendars.
