How to receive support with a computer problem:
- First refer to our CIC Frequently Asked Questions page to see if your problem is addressed there.
- Next, ask for assistance from a Tech Leader in your school.
- Ask your Tech Leader first.
If the issue is not resolved....
- From a school computer that is on the network,, fill out a CIC HELPDESK web form. (This link only works on a compter on the school network)
- From home - fill out a Technical Support Request
Form save it to your computer, fill it out with detailed information, attach it to
an email and send it to cic@rochesterschools.com.

Please Note:
All hardware and software to be used on the computer network must be approved by the Computer Information Center (CIC). This includes donations. Guidance for Donated Computer Hardware and Software information.
Request to Block or Unblock a Web Site
- From a school computer that is on the network, fill out a CIC Block\Unbloch Web Site request form (This link only works on a compter on the school network) with detailed information about what site you want unblocked and for what educational purpose related to the curriculum.
- From home - Fill out Block/Unblock Web Site Request save it to your computer, attach it to
an email and send it to cic@rochesterschools.com. Make sure to include details of your planned purchase.
The following issues are considered Critical and take priority over other requests:
- E-mail Outages
- Payroll/HR
- Internet content – Inappropriate material being accessed
- Network\Internet Failures to a Building or Student Lab
- Telephone Outages- (SHS/VTC, MS and SAU only
- Server Outage
- Library Systems outage
