The East Rochester School PTA Welcomes You!
The staff and students at the East Rochester School are looking
forward to an exciting new school year and would like to invite
you to become an integral part of our school by joining our
PTA. This year’s officers are as follows: Nicole Leclerc,
President, Shirley Creteau, Vice President, Carolann Simpson,
Treasurer, Marcy Cook, Secretary. We welcome fresh, innovative
ideas and new perspectives to ensure the best interests of our
students and school. Without the PTA, we would be very limited
in what enrichment activities, etc., that we could offer our
students. It takes caring, involved parents like you to make
it the success we have been so fortunate to achieve.
Our first PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 4th.
PTA meetings will be on a rotating schedule each month (Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday) from 6:00-7:00 p.m., which means our
meeting for October will be on the 1st Thursday of the month.
The yearly membership fee is $4.00 which entitles you to vote
on some very important issues, decisions and expenditures. Also,
you automatically become a member of the New Hampshire PTA.
Join us any way you can – be it monetarily, through volunteering,
special events and other fundraising. You are not obligated
to attend each and every monthly meeting. We ask that you read
the monthly agendas that come home and if you have an interest
or concern, then come to that particular meeting. We do encourage
you to attend as much as possible, as we discuss many topics.
Relax, speak your mind, throw out some fresh new thoughts –
that’s what makes our PTA work – lots of people
with lots to give.
To get a feel for what we do annually, and what you can become
involved in for the future, here is a list of what we have accomplished
over the past several years:
September – PTA membership drive (we hope you can join),
Fall fundraiser, Open House, Ice Cream Social.
October – Harvest Social (Harvest night or family dance),
School Store (The Cougar’s Cage which will be open weekly
throughout the school year), class field trip planning.
December – Library Book Fair.

DJ & raffles, volunteer and staff appreciation weeks, science
fair student awards, library book fair.
