Everyday Mathematics
Center
Everyday Mathematics is a research-based curriculum
developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics
Project. UCSMP was founded in 1983 during a time of
growing consensus that our nation was failing to provide
its students with an adequate mathematical education.
The goal of this on-going project is to significantly
improve the mathematics curriculum and instruction
for all school children in the U.S. Practice

Tucker
2 C Flour
1T Baking Powder
1/2 t Salt
1/2 C Butter or margarine
1 1/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 C milk
In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
In a larger bowl cream butter, then add sugar gradually.
Mix until light and fluffy. Add unbeaten eggs
one at a time. Add vanilla. Now alternate milk and
flour to mixture. Bake at 375 º F for 25
minutes. For this recipe use two 8" pans, greased
and line bottom with wax paper. When cake is
done leave in pan for about 10 minutes then take out
of pan and put on cooling rack.
This cake is also great using different flavorings,
like maple or lemon. Use 1 t just as you would
with the vanilla.
Doubling the recipe will fill two 9" or 10" size cake
pans. |
