Cancellation Policy
For After-School Rehearsals
As the winter season comes upon us so does the ever present threat of changing weather. Understandably, changing weather and road conditions can make it difficult if not hazardous to get to an after-school rehearsal. It has always been our policy in the elementary band to be extra cautious when deciding on canceling rehearsals, therefore we have instituted the following policy to help you know if a rehearsal will take place or not. Please note that this policy is only for after-school band rehearsals.

THERE WILL BE NO REHEARSAL IF . . .

  1. school is canceled for the day.
  2. the school department issues an emergency early release for all schools.
  3. BOTH Mr. Bergeron and Miss Smith cannot make the rehearsal on account of illness or otherwise. In this case, THERE WILL BE AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE of your child’s school before the end of the day that there will be no after-school rehearsal.
THERE WILL STILL BE REHEARSAL IF . . .
  1. your child’s school is canceled due to an ISOLATED problem that does not affect other schools in the district.
  2. the school district has a delayed opening.
