Happenings - December 2013
We really need your help to inform your child in the morning how they are getting home. We are getting too many phone calls during the day, especially at the end of the day, changing how children are getting home. This is confusing for the students and disruptive to the class when we have to call in. Parents need to send a note in the morning if their child is going home differently than normal. Thank you for helping to follow the procedures so your child is safe.
There were many beautiful projects that were completed by the Nancy Loud School children. A lot of effort went into the projects that the children made. A big thanks to all children and families who made this a fun learning experience.
WINTER WEATHER IS COMING
Please make sure your child wears a winter coat, mittens, hats, boots, and ski pants to school when the mornings are cold. The children come in from recess with cold, wet feet. Could you please make sure your child has a pair of shoes or sneakers to wear in the classroom so that he/she will be comfortable. In case of a fire or a fire drill children need to have some kind of shoes on their feet at all times. Please label your child’s boots and clothing with their first and last name. *Please remember sneakers for physical education classes on Fridays.
A reminder for all parents in regards to the Honeywell Instant Alert which is a system that lets parents know more quickly and conveniently if there are schedule changes, buses running late, and emergencies that occur.
