- What days are we going skiing?
Ski trips will be held on all Friday nights. ( 2/9, 2/16,
3/7)
- Where do I drop off my equipment in the morning?
All of the ski equipment will be stored in the gym closet
that is located in between the two locker rooms. In the
morning students should be dropped off at the normal drop
off spot and carry the equipment to the gym. The gym will
be open at 6:30 am for students who need to drop off their
equipment early.
- What time does the bus leave?
The busses will arrive at RMS at around 2:00pm. They will
be located outside the gym. The bus will depart from the
middle school at 2:45pm. This is after the second round
of buses and all commuter traffic have exited school grounds.
- What time will the students return to the middle
school?
The busses will be departing Shawnee Peak at 8:30 pm.
They are expected to arrive back at RMS between 10:30pm-11:00pm.
Please have discuss this with the students so that they
have transportation home directly upon returning to school.
- What should I bring with me?
1. Please dress for the weather. In the winter temperatures
are low and there is always a chance of snow and rain.
Please pack warm socks, gloves, hats, coats, boots and
ski pants.
2. The students should either pack their own dinner, or
bring money to eat at the lodge. It is very important
that all students bring food and fluids so that they say
energized on the slopes.
3. Students should bring a cell phone in order to stay
in touch with parents when returning forms the mountain.
- Who are the chaperones?
Parents are welcome to attend the trips and ski for free.
In order to ski all chaperones will need to fill out a
safety form. These forms can be filled out on the bus
on the way to the mountain. They are available in the
RMS office or by contacting Mr. Nutter or Mr. Foley.
- What is the cancellation procedure?
If there is no school the trips will automatically be
rescheduled for a later date. Please check the RMS web
site or call RMS at 332-4090 with any questions that you
may have about possible cancellations.
