The
goals of our seventh grade art program are to further the investigation
of the Elements of Art and introduce the Principles of Design (balance,
unity, rhythm, harmony, repetition, contrast, and proportion). The
students create projects such as a paper relief, a creative color
wheel, and clay projects. Another important aspect in art class
is the use of vocabulary in the context of art history. Students
are encouraged to obtain a higher degree of craftsmanship in their
projects. The exploration of different media, is an area of concentration.
