| Student averages will be calculated in the following
manner: |
| 6th
and 7th Grade |
|
25% Daily Work – |
this includes sewing and kitchen labs as well
as other learning experiences such as role playing |
25% Written Assignments – |
worksheets, vocabulary, etc. |
| 25% Projects
– |
projects have
a rubric that explains the variouselements
that the student will be evaluated on –
if
the project is turned in late, the student will
lose
5 points for each day it islate |
| 25% Quizzes and/or tests – |
if a student has a failing grade, he/she may correct his/her quiz/testand earn ½ credit for each corrected answer |
| 8th Grade |
| 20%

Homework Policy
There
is no formal homework in Family and Consumer
Science.However, at times a student may be
asked to complete his/her daily work
at home in order to receive credit.Projects are started in class
and usually require extra time at home to
be completed.
