The Human Rights Club meets
just about every Wed after school in Judy Cohen’s
office. All are welcome.
SAGA is now part of the Human Rights
Club. We cover all human rights including straight and gay issues,
as well as transgender and questioning youth issues and concerns.
We are having the Invisible Children “roadies” coming
to the school on Thursday, Nov. 13. The Human Rights Club showed
their first video last year and this year we have an updated video
about the invisible children in Uganda, who have been “made” into
soldiers and what the organization is doing to bring education
and schools to the area. All this was started by three high school
students. There will be question and answer period after the showing.
It is after school in Spaulding’s auditorium on November
13th.
