The Human Rights Club had its first meeting on 9/30 after school in my office in the basement. We will be working on Ally Week. This is a national youth-led effort empowering students to be allies against anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth. It hopefully will help to stop the bullying, harassment and name calling. It will support diversity, enable tolerance and acceptance. We hope to change attitudes, behaviors, directions and lives.
The Human Rights Club meets
just about every Wed after school in Judy Cohen’s
office. All are welcome.
SAGA is now part of the Human Rights
Club. We cover all human rights including straight and gay issues,
as well as transgender and questioning youth issues and concerns.
