Interdepartmental Studies

The classroom of the future is one that integrates academic and technical knowledge and skills. It is this “blending” of curriculum standards that increase relevancy and reinforce academic competencies. Teachers from different departments work and plan cooperatively to enable students to be successful not only in school but also in their career choice. In order to facilitate this, teachers, students, and employers work together to encourage career exploration and planning while identifying specific career clusters.

Interdepartmental studies not only builds bridges between content areas, but also addresses changing requirements in post-secondary education and equips students for the escalating skills demanded in the workplace.
