McClelland School proudly hosted its annual Veterans Day assembly, a cherished tradition that brings together students, families, and community members to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Each year, this event provides our school community with the meaningful opportunity to express gratitude and respect for our veterans.

This year’s assembly featured the Spaulding High School ROTC, who helped lead the ceremony with pride and precision. As our special guests entered the gym, McClelland students had the honor of accompanying their veteran to a seat, setting a tone of warmth and appreciation.

The program included a beautiful reading of “In Flanders Fields” by Ahna McNulty, and several student helpers—Emma Desjardins, Madison Leeman, Oliver Stover, Charlie Jerr, and Conrad Jerr—played key roles in making the morning special.

To close the assembly, students and staff formed a line to personally thank each veteran with a handshake, fist bump, or hug, and presented hand-written notes of gratitude.

Ultimately, our hope is that every veteran who joined us left knowing just how deeply we appreciate their service and how loved they are by our school community.
