As the school year rapidly approaches we want to welcome you back to school and make sure that you and your child are ready for the first day of school.
Meet and Greet
On August 31st from 3:30-4:30 families and students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher on the playground and take a peek at their classroom. Classroom staff will be on the playground to answer questions for all families. If families would like to see their child's classroom, they should arrive at school by 3:20 and line up by the main entrance. Each family should stand on their own cement paver to allow for distancing. Specialists will lead families to their classrooms one at a time. Each tour will be brief, but still allow students a glimpse into their new classroom.
First day of School
Our first day of school is scheduled for September 1st. Students may enter the primary playground at 8:00.
Car Riders: We have a new traffic pattern this year. Our process has been revised to ensure that all of our students are safe during arrival and departure. With that in mind, drivers should enter the one way traffic pattern and drive all the way around the back of the middle school before approaching the primary playground. The drop off area has been repaved and new lines have been painted outlining specific zones. If you plan to drop your child off by car, please review our arrival video prior to the start of school. *Procedure videos will be posted on Monday, 8/30.*
Walkers: Students that walk to school should follow the path from the front of the school directly onto the primary playground. ALL students in grades K-5 will enter school through the primary playground this year. Students will not walk through the school to get to the playground.
Bus Riders: Students that arrive by bus will be dropped off in front of the school and will follow the pathway from the arrival area directly to the primary playground. ALL students in grades K-5 will enter school through the primary playground this year. Students will not walk through the school to get to the playground.
Students will be able to play, see their friends or get breakfast between 8:00-8:25. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30, so students will be directed to enter the school and report directly to their classroom at 8:25.
We kindly ask that families say their farewells prior to their child entering the primary playground.
Students that walk will be dismissed from the front of the school beginning at 3:00.
Students that leave school by car will be dismissed beginning at 3:00 from the same zone that students are dropped off in the morning. The traffic pattern will be the same in the afternoon as it is in the morning.
Students that leave school by bus will be dismissed beginning at 3:05 to get on their bus home.
