The R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center is excited to welcome Amanda Cyr, a versatile educator, to its team for the 2023-2024 academic year as the new Banking & Financial Support Services instructor.

With experience in finance and education, Amanda brings a unique blend of skills to the classroom. Prior to teaching, Amanda worked as a Mortgage Loan Processor at Camden National Bank from 2017 to 2022. Prior to her banking career, she worked as an Educational Technician in the Transitional Learning Program at various schools, including Kennebunk High School, Kennebunk Middle School, and Massabesic High School. Additionally, she worked as a Preschool Teacher/Family Advocate and a one-on-one aide with the York County Community Action Corporation.

When asked about her motivation for becoming a teacher, Amanda said, "I became a teacher because I've always enjoyed service sector work where I am making connections with people and helping them. I find it rewarding to be the person that helps to improve another person's day, situation, and trajectory."

Amanda's diverse background and dedication to education will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the students and the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center is thrilled to have her on board.
