High School FBLA Students to Compete in March

Rochester School District, February  9, 2023: Thirty-nine members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Spaulding High School and the R.W. Creteau Technology Center will be competing in New Hampshire’s FBLA State Leadership Conference March 23 and 24th.

Created in 1937, FBLA is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world.  Their mission is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.

Twenty-one of the students will be competing individually, while the other eighteen are working in teams.  Students choose their own competition topic and have spent a few months preparing for a test, designing a presentation, writing speeches, or other required elements. Some of the chosen topics include: Accounting, Business Management, Social Media Marketing, Personal Finance, Business Law, Journalism, Human Resource Management, Public Speaking, Business Math, Sports and Entertainment Management, Healthcare Administration, Community Service, and more.

Students will be competing against other FBLA Chapters from New Hampshire and will vote on next year’s State Officers.  Students will also hear from guest speakers, attend breakout sessions, and gain professional development.

FBLA would like to thank those who participated in our fundraising for this event, as well as parents and local businesses that helped to contribute to student’s registration costs.
