Rochester School District, July 7, 2025 – Two Spaulding High School students recently had the honor of representing New Hampshire at the 2025 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Anaheim, California. Jamarkus Oliver, a 2025 graduate, and Russell Keefe, a rising junior and current NH FBLA State Officer, proudly represented Spaulding High School, the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center, and the state of New Hampshire on a national stage.
They were accompanied by RWCTC Business Instructor Leah Taylor, who also serves as the NH FBLA State Chair. New Hampshire had strong representation this year, with students from 13 chapters across the state participating in competitive events, leadership workshops, and networking sessions with over 16,000 students, educators, and business professionals from around the country.
NH FBLA was nationally recognized during the conference for its exceptional fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association, earning:
1st place in the Eastern Region
3rd place nationwide for the 2024 campaign year
6th place nationwide for the 2024–2025 school year
Jamarkus Oliver reflected on the experience, sharing,
“FBLA is an incredible experience that brings together driven students from across the country. It opened my eyes to the bigger picture and showed me just how much we can achieve when we truly put our minds to something.”
Russell Keefe added,
“Attending the FBLA National Leadership Conference in California as a first-time State Officer was truly life-changing. It gave me the opportunity to grow as a leader, connect with inspiring people from all over the country, and realize the impact we can make. I’ll carry the lessons, memories, and motivation from NLC with me forever.”
Spaulding’s FBLA Chapter was also recognized with the Gold Seal Chapter Award, earning 1st place in New Hampshire for the second consecutive year. Through FBLA, Spaulding students continue to build real-world business and leadership skills, explore future careers, and make a positive difference in their communities.
