Happy CTE Month!

At the Rochester City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, two proclamations were presented: one recognizing FBLA Week and the other designating February Career Technical Education Month.

The proclamations were received by Michele Halligan-Foley, Director of the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center, and Rusty Keefe, a New Hampshire FBLA State Officer and student at Spaulding High School. Together, the proclamations highlight the importance of leadership development, career readiness, and hands-on educational experiences.

Career Technical Education offers students pathways in fields such as business, health sciences, creative arts, natural resources, and the building and construction trades. Rochester also continues to collaborate with Dover and Somersworth through the Tri-City region to provide students with access to shared resources, training, and real-world learning opportunities.

To celebrate, FBLA and CTE Ambassadors will work together next week to host a K–12 FBLA & Career Spirit Week, promoting career awareness and exploration throughout the Rochester School District.
